Eternal Abyss

"Eternal Abyss"  a bouquet thrown into the ocean for love and memory-swallowed up by the sea creature from beneath to keep the love eternal, forever remembrance.

...with my grandma in the hospital, right before she passed, I felt the need to paint the bouquet tossed into the ocean. I also was coming to terms of life with out her here. At 97 she lived a good life and is in so much of our lives. I felt like she will never truly be gone, and thus, the sea creature emerged to swallow the bouquet to keep the memory of her here while her soul moved on. 

I dedicate this painting to Nana.
